It is still October but the eastern part of the country is supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia from Friday to Saturday afternoon as a storm blows through the region. Even more snow was expected to fall in higher elevations, including the Laurel Highlands and the Pocono Mountains, forecasters said. Temperaturs are supposed to drop into the 30s. Forecasters said early snows could bring down power lines and tree lines. There will be high pressure from Canada.
