Germany reopens hundreds of nazi investigations



Germany has reportedly reopened hundreds of nazi death camp guards following the may conviction of 91 year old John Demjanjuk who was sentenced for 5 years for  28,060 counts of accessory to murder for his role as a guard at Polands Sabibir camp during World War II.
114121499The Guardian reports that German authorities think that Demjanjuks conviction and five-year sentence sets a precedent for other war crimes because it was the first time that prosecutors were able to convict someone in a Nazi era case without d evidence that the person was part of a specific murder.Demjanjuk is appealing the decision the head of the German prosecutors office.
