Sergeant Jeffery Starver said the director of the Hurt Locker based the movie "The Hurt Locker" on him. After the ruling director Mark Boal said the movie was inspired by many soldiers he met. Sergeant Jeffery Starver said he plans to appeal the decision. "We are not going to stop representing Sgt Starver Todd Weglarz said. The movie follows a team of dedicated bomb disposal experts in Iraq, and there new sergeant who takes dangerous and uneccasary risks. Starver claimed Boal wanted to stay with him exclusively because he did not trust other bomb technicians.Starver sued the makers of the film in March 2010, saying her rights of publicity were infringed and he was cheated out of the financial success of the movie.
