Skier Sarah Burke dies

Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke did today after 9 days after a injury in Utah while practicing at a event she was sponsoring. Tests showed that she had "irreversible damage to her brain due to lack of oxygen and blood after cardiac arrest,". She won four x games and she was injured on the same area that snowboarder Kevin Pierce was injured on in 2009. She donated all her organs and tissue. Burke tore her vertebral artery, which led to severe bleeding on the brain, causing her to go into cardiac arrest on the scene, where they did CPR. Burke was the best known athlete in her sport and pretty much got her sport put on the map for women.
