A state appellate court in Brooklyn has ordered the family of a Holocaust survivor to return an ancient gold tablet to a German museum.The decision turns on its head the familiar scenario of Holocaust victims suing to reclaim property stolen or extorted from them by the Nazis. But in this case, according to court papers, the precious 3200yearold Assyrian artifact had been looted not from the survivor but from the vonderstiatches museum in berlin.It is not clear how the survivor iven Flamenbaum came into possession of the tablet after his liberation from Auschwitz in 1945 when he was sent to a displaced persons camp in southeastern Germany.But when Mr. Flamenbaum immigrated to the United States four years later he arrived in New York with a wife he had met at the camp and the inscribed gold tablet which is about the size of a passport photo. Only after Mr. Flamenbaums death in 2003 did his children discover that the thin golden square had been stolen from the museum.

China arrests high level spy

The man who was private secretary to a vice inister in the security ministry was arrested earlier this year arious press reports say.US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declined to comment on the reports.
If confirmed it would be the third major incident to hit China US relations in the past few months.
It would also be the highest level spy case involving China and the US to become public since 1985  when intelligence official Yu Qiangsheng defected to the US.The official had been recruited by the CIA local press and Reuters report.

bigfoot spotted in idaho

The legendary missing link Bigfoot was reportedly captured on film by two college students in Idaho.
The yet to be identified students were on a field trip for school when they spotted a big dark bulky figure on a nearby ridge according to the idaho state journal. They rushed to capture the beast on film managing to shoot a short clip of the mysterious figure. The students also claim to have pictures of the beasts ginormous foot prints .One of the students remains skeptical about his discovery.Im not going to say yes it was a Bigfoot or no it wasnt because I dont know and nobody knows he said according to the daily mail.Sasquatch expert and ISU professor Jeff Meldrum has examined the videos and photos taken by the students. Retired ISU professor Trent Stephens has also analyzed the footage.  If its real its pretty exciting Stephens said. Theres always room for a hoax, but this was pretty amazing.The Animal Planet show finding bigfoot has announced that it will make a visit to Pocatello in June to interview people whoe had encounters with elusive creature.
