chad ochocinco signs with dolphins

Chad ochocinco is returning to miami The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver has signed with the miami dolphins the team he rooted for as a child, four days after being released by the New england patriots. From Liberty City The Journey back to where it started Liberty City Ochocinco tweeted Monday night in reference to the Miami neighborhood in which he grew up.The Dolphins have confirmed that the playerformerly known as Chad Johnson will be assigned No. 85 avoiding any possible confusion or need for another name change. The signing will give Ochocinco a chance to prove he can still be a top tier receiver after a disappointing season 15 catches for 276 yards and one touchdown with New England. He has caught 766 passes for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns during his 11 year career all of which was spent with the  until last season.None of the Dolphins returning receivers have more than a dozen career touchdowns. Brandon marshall the teams leading receiver the last two years was traded to the chicago bears for a pair of third round draft picks in March. In addition the Dolphins have been dropping a lot of passes during off season drills not a good sign for a team looking to break in rookie quarterback ryan tannehill.
You would like to have some players make it easy and distinguish themselves maybe make the picture a little bit clearer first year Coach Joe Philbin said. We have to catch the ball more consistently at every position on offense because it is not quite where it needs to be.Ochocinco could be with his new teammates for a portion of this weeks organized team activities which are done Wednesday.
Because Hard Knocks starts in less than two months. After a quiet year in New England he didn't even get a podium during the super bowl week.Ochocinco needs to use this time to come up with some wild antics and witty lines to keep us amused while watching what appears to be a pretty unamusing team prepare for the upcoming nfl season. You have to admit, the Dolphins seemed like an odd choice for Hbos hard knocks hit reality series. From the outside at least there doesnt appear to be much personality there and no household names other than Reggie Bush.Ochocinco already a reality TV veteran would definitely add some charisma and star power to the production. Plus the six-time pro bowler who spent most of his career with the bengals might actually help the doplhins on the field.

Nazi family told to return artifacts

A state appellate court in Brooklyn has ordered the family of a Holocaust survivor to return an ancient gold tablet to a German museum. The decision turns on its head the familiar scenario of Holocaust victims suing to reclaim property stolen or extorted from them by the Nazis. But in this case, according to court papers, the precious 3200yearold Assyrian artifact had been looted not from the survivor but from the vonderstiatches museum in berlin. It is not clear how the survivor iven Flamenbaum came into possession of the tablet after his liberation from Auschwitz in 1945 when he was sent to a displaced persons camp in southeastern Germany. But when Mr. Flamenbaum immigrated to the United States four years later he arrived in New York with a wife he had met at the camp and the inscribed gold tablet which is about the size of a passport photo. Only after Mr. Flamenbaums death in 2003 did his children discover that the thin golden square had been stolen from the museum.

us soldier dies during skype chat with wife

US Army investigators have found no bullet wound and have no evidence of foul play in the death of a soldier in Afghanistan during a Skype video chat with his wife.Captain Bruce Kevin Clarks wife said her husband fell forward during the video session last week and that she saw a bullet hole in the closet behind him raising the question of whether he had been shot. But Christopher Grey, a spokesman for the Army Criminal Investigation Command said today that no bullet wound was found in Capt Clarks body.A post examination is being conducted to find out  the cause of death and the investigation is still under way Mr Grey said. But they said the most important thing is that there was no bullet wound or trauma except that Capt Clarks nose was possibly broken when he fell on his desk Mr Grey said.Capt Clarks family released a statement describing what his wife saw in the video feed recording her husbands death in Tarin Kowt Afghanistan. The closet behind him had a bullet hole in it the statement said adding that others individuals including a member of the military who rushed to the Texas home of Capt Clark’s wife also believed it was a bullet hole. The statement said the Skype link remained open for two hours on April 30 as family and friends in the US and Afghanistan tried to get help. After two hours and many frantic phone calls by Mrs Clark two military personnel arrived in the room and appeared to check his pulse but provided no details about his condition to his wife the statement said.

dinasour flatulence may have warmed earth

In a major new climate finding, researchers have calculated that dinosaur flatulence could have put enough methane into the atmosphere to warm the planet during the hot, wet Mesozoic era.Like gigantic, long-necked, prehistoric cows, sauropod dinosaurs roamed widely around the Earth 150 million years ago, scientists reported in the journal Current Biology on Monday. And just like big cows, their plant digestion was aided by methane-producing microbes."A simple mathematical model suggests that the microbes living in sauropod dinosaurs may have produced enough methane to have an important effect on the Mesozoic climate, researcher Dave Wilkinson of Liverpool John Moores University said in a sentence.Calculations suggest that these dinosaurs could have produced more methane than all modern sources  both natural and man made  put together Wilkinson said Methane is a bad greenhouse gas with as much as 25 times the climate warming potential as carbon dioxide. This gas is enough of a factor in modern global warming that scientists have worked to figure out how much methane is given out by cows  sheep and other plant eating animals. The discovery raised questions about whether the same thing could have happened in the distant past.

Terrell Suggs injury gives huge opportunity to courtney upshaw

Last weekend, the Ravens drafted Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw to complement Terrell Suggs, the 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. But after todays  news, Upshaw might have to try to replace him  if not at his position then at least in terms of impact.Suggs has sustained an injury to his achilles tendon reportedly while playing basketball in Arizona. It could be a tweak or a partial tear. Or it could also be a full tear which would likely sideline him for all of 2012. Suggs will get checked out in a few days and the Ravens asked for caution as they await an answer. We are in contact with Terrell. He will see a specialist early next week and well know more at that time the team said in a news release. At the sun newsmaker forum Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta said Its hard for rookies to play right away but he also added that given the draft status of Upshaw the teams first pick  who was taken early in the second round he was the rookie most likely to contribute right away. And as Ravens coach John Harbaugh obviously pointed out at a news conference Saturday You are always one play away from being a starter anyway. If the injury to Suggs is as serious as the Ravens fear they might have no choice but to rush Upshaw into the starting lineup. He was expected to compete with Paul Kruger for the starting strong-side linebacker job that used to belong to Jarret Johnson. Albert McClellan who played well as an undrafted rookie in 2011 and Sergio Kindle who is not guaranteed a roster spot for this season were also supposed to be in the mix.

Shuttle enterprise flys over NYC skyline

The NASA shuttle flew over the statue of liberty and the world's most famous skyline Friday morning before landing safely at John F Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Hundreds were waiting to greet the aircraft including NASA people, hildren and leanord denoy. It feels like a reunion said denoy.Who played spock on star treck recalled being photagraphed with the Enterprise when it was first unveiled as part of a politics meets pop cullture moment. Then the president ford had ordered the shuttle named after the shows fictional star ship Enterprise following a letter writing campaign by fans of the series. Before the landing residents throughout the tri-state area lined the Hudson river tumbled out onto sidewalks and  onto rooftops in the hopes of getting a glimpse camera phones held high. The Enterpid was affixed atop a specially modified 747 that had taken off earlier in the morning from Dulles International Airport near Washington. The sight was enough to cause even the most busy New Yorkers to stop and stare skyward. The Big Apple had been waiting for the moment all week. The Enterprise was originally supposed to arrive Monday and then Wednesday. But those plans were canceled due to bad weather. The Enterprise is one of four NASA shuttles that are going into retirement throughout the United States, after a fierce political battle over which cities would get one. Technically the enterprise is not a real space shuttle it was a prototype and a test orbiter that never flew into space. Still the Enterprise was critical to the tests necessary to verify orbiter aerodynamics and handling characteristic in preparation for flights that followed with space shuttle Columbia. The Enterprise is ultimately headed for its new retirement home at the Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum this summer in Manhattan. Last week, the space shuttle Discovery was delivered to Dulles inoute to its final destination at the Smithsonians National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. UdvarHazy Center in Chantilly Va.The California Science Center in Los Angeles will get the space shuttle Endeavour, and  atlantis will go to the kennedy space center visitor complex at cape canaveral Florida. After the Enterprise is delivered to Kennedy airport, it will be moved via tugboat through the hudson river to the intrepid museum.

Bioligist create DNA capable of evolution

Synthetic DNA and RNA has been shown to be capable of evolving in the lab, carrying hereditary traits with it.The synthetic form of dna lifes building block was able to share information with real DNA and do directed evolution into biologically useful forms.Scientists are studying the main question about DNA where did it come from. One idea is that DNA, which is built with deoxyribose sugars evolved from a simpler form of rna, which is built from ribose sugars. But then people ask where did RNA come from?
This is a big question, John Chaput said from  Arizona State University. If the RNA world existed, how did it come into existence. Was it magicly produced or was it the product of something that was even simpler than rna some people wonder.

Major changes coming to google search

Google is working on the most drastic overhaul of its search technology in its history the wall street journal reported.the journal alleged that this update will help make Google search to rely heavily on technology called "semantic search which taps into the actual meaning of words. But  it will not ditch the current keyword based search, which determines the usefulness of a site based on items like the words it uses, how often other sites link to it, among other stuff. Google Search would also display more facts and answer direct questions at the top of the page  instead of just presenting links to other sites.

The trade deadline is here. And unless Dwight Howard changes his mind by Thursday afternoon, the franchise that lost Shaquille O’Neal could very well send packing another once in a generation big man by the end of the day.Howard lost Wednesday night what might have been his last game with Orlando. He told the front office before tipoff that he wants the right to be a free agent this summer, a decision that may weaken Orlando’s hesitation to trade their superstar.Howard wants the Magic to gamble that he willstay, and not trade him by the 3 pm deadline. They took a chance on me at 18, when everybody else said, No dont do it said Howard, who the Magic drafted with the top pick out of high school in 2004. “They look stupid at first, but look now.
